About The Academy Boxing Club
Our Club...
The Academy is an England Boxing affiliated, non profit community organisation. We are committed to providing top class boxing training and mentoring for children and adults in the local area whilst encouraging and fostering a sense of belonging. The Academy is funded solely by members subscriptions, donations and sponsorship.
We keep subs for members as low as possible . This ensures an opportunity to box for a wide range of people from our local community.
Our History
The Academy Boxing Club (previously Moor Lane) has been providing outstanding boxing training to children and adults in the local community for over 10 years. The club changed it's name after moving from Moor Lane, Staines to the current site in Shepperton in 2019 shortly before lockdown.
We have grown from strength to strength and our experienced England Boxing Coaches have helped many children and adults to learn and develop their boxing skills as well as focusing on their fitness and mental health.
Our Facilities
We have an all purpose boxing gym sited in Littleton Recreation Ground, Laleham Road, Shepperton. We benefit from being able to use the extensive park grounds for training outside during better weather.
Unfortunately space is limited and as a result we have had to limit numbers attending classes. We are committed to finding a solution as we aim to reach a much wider section of the community and currently are looking at plans to expand the gym.

England Boxing
Our club membership with England Boxing (Regional Area: London Boxing) ensures the safety and welfare of members, child protection and compliance, DBS checking and promotion of boxing to potential new members, enforcing rules and regulations, providing a talent pathway for boxers who excel and training and coaching courses for our staff and coaches.
All our coaches are trained to a minimum Level One Coaching by England Boxing including First Aid, Safeguarding and enhanced DBS certificates.
England Boxing is the governing body for the sport of boxing in England, with more than 1000 affiliated clubs and in excess of 24000 members.
